RB bearings normally use an integrated inner ring and split outer ring and are commonly selected for inner-ring rotation. RE bearings use the opposite ring structure and are generally selected for outer-ring rotation. Final selection should also consider fit, mounting and load direction.
Choose RU when direct bolt mounting and simplified surrounding structure are important. Its integrated rings and mounting holes allow both rings to be fixed directly, reducing the need for a separate flange or housing.
